Master
Planning

With a proven understanding of guest flow, operations, and creative design, Falcon’s explores your site’s full potential, ensuring the master plan is immersive and pragmatic.

Throughout the master planning process, we focus holistically on design, operations, and guest experience, studying and critiquing all the parts and pieces to ensure successful execution to the highest standard. Each master plan we develop is supported by advanced design techniques and comprehensive production services that follow a precise course of action from story to design to realization.

For existing sites looking for a spark of reinvention or brand-new sites seeking the flame of inspiration, Falcon’s maintains the integrity of your idea while paying keen attention to budget, feasibility, and layout logic.

Pre-concept Design

During the blue sky or high concept phase, we learn everything we can about your project, its goals, and the space requirements, with the understanding that the space/location could change. We generate an overall written narrative description of the project and a bubble diagram that visually summarizes all the critical elements while providing an overview of the layout. Reference images will help give you an idea of what each area will look like or how it will be themed. During pre-concept design, we also share ideas for the story and highlight some of the top engagement activities.

Concept Design

Our concept design services include developing the overall project goals, creative vision, and guest experience. Written narratives, expert reference materials, and original artwork make Falcon’s conceptual work stand above the rest. We take great care in design functionality. Initial programming and capacities are also established during this phase, considering both guest and operational flows to lay the groundwork for efficient operations. The result is a clean and elegant concept that upholds the objectives of the project.

Schematic Design

Schematic design (SD) shifts your project’s focus towards the more technical details. We refine and sharpen your master plan for all guest-facing areas and back-of-house spaces. We provide a site plan diagram with key plan views and detailed venue enlargements. Schematics incorporate a preliminary attraction ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) costing matrix and schedule. Deliverables you can expect include black and white dimensioned plans, sections, and exterior elevations. Perspective views of each zone are included, along with an impressive color bird’s eye view of the park. Finally, we provide a 3D massing model of the venue suitable for reviewing every element angle.

Design Development

Design development (DD), sometimes referred to as detail design, is when all the technical details of the project come to life. We document each element in the guest-facing area to lock in the creative intent, sizes, and material and color finishes. Deliverables include highly detailed plans, elevations, sections, and detail drawings, which are then handed off to specialty contractors for fabrication.

BIM Management

BIM, or building information modeling, involves generating and managing the physical and functional information of our master plans, which helps our designers centralize all the data related to that plan. Our BIM designers are deeply involved in all phases of a project’s lifespan, which improves coordination and communication among internal and external team members. Using info we gain through the creation of a BIM model within our master plan, we’re equipped to evaluate your project’s needs. Our team helps mitigate risk, increase productivity, and reduce costs.

Landscape & Hardscape Design

A well-designed theme park or location-based entertainment venue is a thing of beauty. A gorgeous setting can shift anyone’s mindset, allowing guests to escape from the real world and join the one you’ve curated just for them. Landscape and hardscape design are services that Falcon’s Creative Group offers to provide a more well-rounded master plan, one that takes storytelling strategies and natural aesthetics into account. After all, we don’t want to leave any stone unturned.

Signage & Wayfinding

During the design development phase, our graphic designers work closely with various design teams to create thoughtful signage and wayfinding systems. Each element is designed within the visual language of the IP and is used as a tool to enhance guest experience while complementing its surroundings. Our approach balances creativity with functionality. We take into consideration language(s), cultural nuances, color, shape, size, typefaces, legibility, codes and regulations, sightlines, and types of signage. Every piece of signage is strategically placed and designed to guide guests clearly and comfortably, whether they’re entering a park, exploring themed environments, or approaching an attraction.
