Sound Design
Sound design is a critical element of a comprehensive storytelling experience, which is why we have staffed our audio team with seasoned veterans from the film, television, and gaming industries.
Our sound designers have a deep technical understanding of all audio formats and mediums and are committed to staying on top of technological improvements and taking advantage of those advancements to enhance the connection to the experience. When the need arises, the team is even able to record custom foley and sound effects.
Interactive Audio
Many exhibitions now offer impressive real-time interactives and visuals, but they often fall short on the audio presentation. Falcon’s ensures audio is always in the mix.
Our sound design team has years of experience with AAA video game sound design and integration as well as fully interactive themed exhibitions. Whether your need is top quality sound assets for a game, a stand-alone interactive, or a fully programmed real-time immersive audio environment, Falcon’s has you covered.
Music Composition
We never underestimate the power of music, one of the most critical elements in creating a strong emotional resonance that helps to drive our immersive experiences.
We recommend the types of musical elements that will lift your production. Having worked with members of the London Symphony, The Capellen Orchestra in Prague, the Seattle Symphony, and others, we know that live orchestras can be the right choice for certain projects. There are other cases when we determine that sampled MIDI sources are the best route to take. Regardless of the method or source, the decision is weighed with a variety of factors in mind, resulting in the best possible outcome.
Background music (BGM) can also play a key part within an immersive experience, whether it’s in the area development, queue line, loading area, exit retail, or food and beverage areas. Most of the time, we can provide licensed needle-drop music to match the style and energy needed for any of these zones.
On-Site Sound Mixing
A studio mix will often sound very different when it’s transferred to a unique environment, like a theme park attraction or a special venue.
These are often less than ideal environments for sound isolation, so it’s extremely important to mix the sound through the speakers that reside in those types of settings. This is where our combined experience in games, films, and theme park sound design makes a world of difference.
Most people have heard of 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound that is typically found in movie theaters and homes, but some of our most immersive surround sound mixes have reached up to 57.17! For attractions that have multiple scenes, such as dark rides, we have a number of ways to create a seamless and immersive show by combining on-board and off-board audio, triggered or looping scenes, transitions, and point source effects.
In addition to theme parks and attractions, we also work with museums, traveling shows, restaurants, and other venues that require a deft touch to create a more intimate and enjoyable experience.
Dialogue recording, editing, and ADR
We provide dialogue recording and editing services for projects of all budgets across a wide variety of mediums, including attractions, animation, exhibitions, interactive experiences, film and television, radio, podcasts, audio books, demos, and others.
We use our in-house recording booth to record temp tracks, final tracks, and Automated Dialogue Replacement. ADR allows us to make detailed refinements to dialogue in post-production. We have provided small and large-scale ADR for feature films, short films, and commercials.
